APPLICATIONS
The RC52230 Genoa Car is ideally suited for boats between 24 and 36 feet in length. The car is ideally used on boats where active trimming of the car position is not required; for example club racers or cruisers, where the car might be moved aft when the seabreeze comes in and left for the remainder of the afternoon. Typically the windward car is moved whilst unloaded, then when you tack over the other car is moved.
This car runs on our Series 22 Ball Bearing track (RC1220). The plunger pin can be locked in the up position so that the crew don’t need to hold it as they move the car along the track.
The 60mm diameter sheave is wide enough to handle two sheets so that you can swap headsails quickly, meaning you don’t need to try and go upwind with that Number 1 in Number 3 weather!
